6:14 p.m. Odd ‘n Ends WHEW! I made it through the week of
death! And I didn’t die! I was actually strangely calm. I have this theory that I had SO much
stress that I just blew my stress fuse, and then everything just bounced off
of me. When only one bus showed up
instead of 2, did I stress? When
people at Festival lost all my Festival tapes, did I freak out? When poor PV had to read 7 to a part, did I
wig? When I showed up to school and my
festival forms had disappeared...the ist goes on an on. And in the end, both Symphonic and Concert
Orchestras at PV walked away with superiors!
W00t w00t! Honor Orchestra went to The next day I drove the uHaul
3 whole miles. Oh yes. It’s very large….and I drove very
slowly. I attempted to dye my hair
blue. Well, I attempted to have my
hair professionally dyed blue. Funny
thing about that. If you bleach your
hair for highlights, and then dye it the “blue” that the salon has….did you
know that your hair ends up looking exactly the same as when you walked
in? I was so sad. My hair is not blue at all, and I’m
horribly disappointed. I think this is
just fate telling me I’m not meant to have blue hair (since this is not my
first attempt). My hair dresser
(Francisco) was also very disappointed, and said that I didn’t have to
pay. Oh well. No harm done. Other than that…I’m
sleeping! Nothing like 10 – 11 hours
of sleep every single day. I go to
sleep somewhere between 12 and 12:30 at night, and wake up around 11am. It’s a wonderful life. I’m not sleepy all the time! Go figure!
I’ve still been pretty busy, though.
And now I have to do my taxes =P
This year I’m taking it to someone instead of attempting to do it
myself. I tell ya, you think you’re an
intelligent person, you do well in school…and then you try to do your taxes
and you feel horribly moronic. Not
this year! Oh, and my car broke L
The “check engine” light went on, and I just had to pay a bunch of
money to turn it off. SO lame. If I have to get a car in the near future,
I’ve picked one out: The Hyundai Tucson (In “brilliant copper” which just is
a fancy way of saying… Happy Break, everybody! |

10:32 p.m. Bravo!! 2 down, 5 to go! PV had their concert tonight… Concert Orchestra…all I can say
is dang. You guys sounded SO
good. I was so proud of you guys. You rocked it. You sounded awesome. At the beginning of Sinfonia…the sheer
force of volume shocked me. I was
actually surprised. I thought 1sts
could’ve been louder, and cellos could’ve been louder, too. But overall I thought everybody sounded
amazing. I think you guys really
impressed the audience. Symphonic Orchestra, I KNOW you
impressed the audience. Did you hear
the reaction when you ended? Despite
the fact that my parents were the ones who were standing up and clapping, I
thought it went well. Okay. I’m going to bed because it’s late and I
have to wake up and do Honor Orchestra tomorrow. But good job everybody! XD |

9:46 p.m. Winding
Down Before I Break So busy. SOOOO BUSY!
But I feel it’s important to take moments in your daily life to relax
and do what makes you happy. Today I
decided to take one of those silly online tests. And here are the results to the “WHAT KIND
OF CAKE ARE YOU” quiz:
I’m not sure what the other
options were…but Marble Cake sounds pretty yummy. I’m not sure if it describes me….and again,
who doesn’t prefer to have everything they want? What are we supposed to want? What we don’t want? That’s just silly. I’m getting ready for bed, but
I’m still hearing music in my head from rehearsal tonight. I got home a little after 9:00 and am
contemplating if it is now too late for some GIRL SCOUT ICE CREAM! It’s so good. Seriously.
Tagalong ice cream. Best thing
ever. Otherwise it has been a pretty
frustrating day. The morning was fine,
but then something happened…. I’m not quite sure what. Everything just got worse by worse, and by
the end of school I was all sorts of annoyed and grouchy. And then I went to a meeting and…got even
grouchier. I was worried that
rehearsal would be abysmal, considering the path I was on, but as usual,
music cheered me up. When it’s good
music, it always lifts my spirits, without fail. |
